# How do you change your login panel ?
First of all you have to be installed lightdm display manager in your system, I am writing this tutorial using my favorite Linux distribution Arch Linux , then you can install theme as I mentioned below:
Open your Console or Terminal and copy, paste line given below:
#sudo pacman -S lightdm
Hurray !!! You have now Lightdm. Now to use login theme, you need to install lightdm-webkit2-greeter, with this greeter you can change your login panel. What we need to do now? Well, open your lighdm-webkit-greeter config file. To do so, go to
Here you’ll find a few config files, not all files you need to choose, just open lightdm-webkit2-greeter.conf with your editor.
In this config file, search for greeter-session and change to this :
greeter-session = lightdm-webkit2-greeter
Congratulations !!! you have successfully setup your theme. By default a theme is installed with your lightdm-webkit2-greeter, but If you want to different theme then you can install as you like.
# Install Litarvan theme for your desktop
Install Litarvan theme , this theme is awesome for lightdm login panel, I like sappiare theme though you can modify or use your own preference.
sudo pacman -S lightdm-webkit-theme-litarvan
Now, open /etc/lightdm/lightdm-webkit2-greeter.conf and change webkit_theme = litarvan
Now , logout and see the awesome login panel you have.
